How exactly is Europe supposed to be relied upon to keep the peace in its own corner of the world without US involvement if they can't even manage the security of Jewish people at a local level from a international level conflict thousands of miles away?
This becomes even more problematic when we consider that if local security can’t be managed effectively in response to distant conflicts (as can be shown it can’t), it raises serious doubts about Europe’s ability to handle larger, more complex geopolitical threats without external support, such as that from the US, even for their own internal matters.
For Europe to emerge as a truly independent security actor, it will need not only to strengthen its internal security mechanisms but also to demonstrate more cohesive and proactive foreign policy and defense strategies.

Will that ever happen however? Unlikely.
Europes best times lie in its past sadly.
